Head coach John Harbaugh of the Baltimore Ravens
The New York Giants have already begun their NFL offseason, with the team’s first order of business being to find Brian Daboll’s successor as the new leader on the sideline in the Big Apple.
Fortunately for the storied franchise, the Giants have some intriguing options as they begin their search for a new head coach, with John Harbaugh reportedly being at the top of the list for New York after the Baltimore Ravens fired the one-time Super Bowl champion earlier this week.
However, there might be one thing that prevents Harbaugh from accepting a job offer from the Giants’ brass, which was revealed by two-time Super Bowl champion and former Giants safety Logan Ryan.

The Giants are reportedly making Harbaugh their top target in their search for a new head coach. The team will do everything within its power to make it happen, but there could be a significant roadblock, as Ryan told Kay Adams on Up & Adams.
“I think New York is more desirable,” Ryan said. “You have the young wide receiver, young quarterback, young running back, and it’s the New York market, but you got that GM Joe Schoen, who I’m not fond of. I’m just not fond of him from my experience with him. I don’t know why he does what he does. I know he lets a lot of Pro Bowlers walk and play for different teams and whatnot, so I don’t think that’s good.
“So you have to have someone that wants to inherit that. Inherit Joe Schoen. How long does Joe Schoen have, right? Where the Titans have Cam Ward, but beyond him, they don’t have a lot on that roster. It’s warmer and it’s tax-free, but New York with the market.”
Ryan believes that Kevin Stefanski is destined to take the job in Tennessee or New York.
“I think Kevin Stefanski will go to one of them, period. I like Kevin Stefanski; I played against Kevin Stefanski. I just called the [Cleveland] Browns game. I sat down with Kevin Stefanski. I know he’s a Northeast guy. He’s from Philly. … I think Stefanski should be the Giants’ No. 1 pick.”
The logic for picking Stefanski over Harbaugh is that Ryan doesn’t believe that the former Ravens head coach will take the Giants’ job because of Schoen being the general manager in New York.
“I just don’t think Harbaugh is going to go to the Giants because of the GM,” Ryan said. “I think Harbaugh wants to go where he can bring his own GM.
“If you see Joe Schoen get fired, it’s for Harbaugh, 100 percent.”
That said, it will be interesting to see what the Giants’ brass do moving forward if it is indeed the case that Harbaugh wants his guy running things as the new general manager in New York.
Jaxson Dart Reveal Who Will Be the Next Giants HC?

Speculation is running wild in New York about who will be the new head coach of the Giants, with star quarterback Jaxson Dart being caught expressing his belief about who he thinks will be the new leader on the sidelines in New York. It seems to be down to two notable candidates.
Dart was caught on camera on the sideline of the University of Miami’s game against Ole Miss during the VRBO Fiesta, and seemed to reveal who might be the next head coach in New York, via Giants Daily.
“I don’t know. [John] Harbaugh or [Kevin] Stefanski.. but I don’t know.”
Obviously, this is not a direct quote, nor should it be taken that way; however, there’s a good chance that the Giants’ star quarterback has been informed about what’s going on in the front office and who is in the running to be the new head coach.
