A$AP Rocky Reveals the Distinct Personalities of His and Rihanna’s Kids

Fatherhood will always be one of A$AP Rocky’s favorite topics. 

In a new episode of The New York Times Popcast, the 37-year-old “Helicopter” rapper, who shares three kids with Rihanna, opened up about the differences he’s beginning to see between his young children. 

“You know, my first son, RZA, he’s just really like, he’s [the] opposite of his brother, the 3-year-old and the 2-year-old. They’re about 14 months apart. So, they’re really close, but he’s really antisocial,” he said in the Jan. 16 interview.

A$AP Rocky and the Fenty Beauty mogul, also 37, are mom and dad to sons RZA, 3½, and Riot, 2, and daughter Rocki, whom they welcomed in September 2025.

“And my second son is just a socialite at this point, you know? He wants to steal the room when he comes, and he walks in it, and he’s addicted to cotton candy, and… he likes… typical little kid stuff,” he said of Riot.

The Highest 2 Lowest actor added that his “first son never ate candy a day in his life and hates it.”

Hosts Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarelli joked with A$AP Rocky that he has a “monk” toddler and a “rockstar” toddler before moving on to his baby girl.

“Baby Rocki man, she’s something, you know she’s 4 months. She’s 4 months on the 13th,” the “Praise the Lord” rapper said of his youngest.

“And she looks exactly identical to me. My twin, bro,” he said proudly.

Prior to her arrival, he remembered thinking life with his “two boys” was “lit,” joking that the trio were their very own “He-Man Women Haters Club.” 

“Like, here we go. I’m with the little rascals, man,” he said, a nod to the 1994 film. “And then baby Rocki came in, and just kind of took over the whole household.”

A$AP Rocky said the infant is “very talkative at 4 months.” She also “likes to giggle and smile.” 

When asked who was the “loose” and “strict” parent in their family, the answer was simple. 

“None of us have to be. We are cool-ass parents,” said A$AP Rocky, who still feels “relatively young.”

He also discussed raising his children to follow their own paths, noting that although he’s a vegetarian, he allows his kids to be “carnivores.” 

“They eat whatever they want. I got to let them be themselves,” he said.

As he continued to discuss their futures, A$AP Rocky shared what he looks forward to, such as being the dad who shows his sons “how to throw footballs and slapbox each other without hurting each other.”

“I always said to myself, like, ‘Yo, if I ever become a dad, like, I’mma be the coolest dad.’ And I think that’s — being a dad made me cooler,” he said. “My swag is up, bro.”

A$AP Rocky’s fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb, was released on Jan. 16.
