Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua
It’s no secret there’s no love lost between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams.
The NFC West rivals play each other twice a year, and to rub salt in the wound, Seattle ended Los Angeles’ season two weeks ago with a 31-27 victory in the NFC Championship Game.
Smack talk is commonplace between the two division foes, and it’s clear from what Rams star wide receiver Puka Nacua tweeted Sunday during Super Bowl LX he’s not exactly a fan of one particular Seahawks star.
Puka Nacua Takes Shot at Sam Darnold

While Darnold didn’t have his best game against the New England Patriots, he was effective enough to lead Seattle to its second Super Bowl championship.
“😂 Sam Darnold,” Nacua wrote on X as Super Bowl LX was came to a close.
The 28-year-old QB completed 19 of 38 passes for 202 yards, a touchdown, and zero interceptions, winning his first Super Bowl ring in the first year of his $100.5 million contract.
There’s been debate about whether or not Darnold is truly a top-10 QB.
Darnold threw for 4,048 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions this season with a 99.1 passer rating. It marked just the second 4,000-yard and 25-touchdown season of his career, and he made his second Pro Bowl in 2025.
The USC alum also became the first USC quarterback to win a Super Bowl, and he set a record for the most NFL teams played for (5) by a QB before winning his first Super Bowl.
Darnold Remarks Latest in String of Nacua Controversies
Nacua is one of the NFL’s top young stars, but he’s also gotten himself in trouble quite a bit this season.
Recently, Nacua was all over social media for shooting his shot with actress Sydney Sweeney.
Sweeney recently opened up about what kind of man she wanted to date, stating: “I’m a sporty girl, so someone needs to be able to climb a mountain with me, go skydiving with me. And someone who loves their family.”
Nacua quoted the tweet, stating “Love skydiving.”
Most found his remarks amusing, but he later drew some backlash for keeping the bit going, stating he had a date lined up with Sweeney when he, in fact, didn’t.
Nacua also found himself in hot water for two separate incidents that came from his hangout session with polarizing streamers Adin Rossand N3on back in mid-December.
The two social media personalities hit the gym with the 1,700-yard WR, where they convinced—and some would even say tricked—Nacua into performing an antisemitic gesture.
Nacua issued a public apology, stating he didn’t realize the gesture was “antisemitic in nature and perpetuated harmful stereotypes against Jewish people.”
During that same livestream, Nacua also made some disparaging remarks about NFL referees — comments that cost him $25,000 for publicly criticizing officials.
“The refs are the worst,” Nacua said. “Some of the rules aren’t…these guys want to be…these guys are lawyers. They want to be on TV too. You don’t think he’s texting his friends in the group chat like, ‘Yo, you guys just saw me on “Sunday Night Football.” That wasn’t P.I., but I called it.’”
