Square Enix has released a trailer for the latest update to Final Fantasy 14, dubbed Trail to the Heavens, which is set to bring a whole host of new content to the MMO on April 28.
The trailer for Patch 7.5 was introduced by FFXIV director and producer Naoki Yoshida during a keynote presentation last week. In the presentation, Yoshida walked fans through the content they can expect to see in the new update.
Highlights include brand new ‘Main Scenario’ quests, which continue to expand upon the Dawntrail narrative in the run-up to the game’s next big expansion.
Players can also look forward to a brand new Alliance Raid Dungeon called Echoes of Vana’diel – Windhurst: The Third Walk. A description for the raid reads: “The time has come for Sareel Ja to realize his dream of a new king─one he believes worthy to rule Tural, and perhaps even the whole of the star.
“What harrowing trials must the Warrior of Light overcome to put his ambitions to rest, and what will become of Alxaal and Prishe should they prove victorious?”

The update will be available to access on April 28, 2026.
