PlayStation Plus subscribers are just moments away from finding out which PS5 games will join the Essentials line-up in May 2026. And the good news is that fans don’t have long to wait, because the next batch of PS Plus Essentials will be unveiled at 4.30pm BST UK time on the afternoon of April 29. That’s 8.30am PT / 11.30am ET if you live in the US, or 5.30pm CET for European subscribers. The games will actually be available less than a week later, on the morning of May 5.
Based on recent months, there’s a good chance the game will leak ahead of schedule, so keep checking back for the latest updates.

In the meantime, fans have been attempting to predict the line-up ahead of the big reveal.
The game with the most picks is Ubisoft’s licensed action game Star Wars Outlaws, which seems like a prime candidate for PlayStation Plus.
Reddit users also believe Atomic Heart will make an appearance on PlayStation Plus. One of the most popular picks, Atomic Heart is a unique first-person shooter set in an alternate history version of the Soviet Union.
Despite middling reviews at launch, consistent updates and DLC have seen Atomic Heart gain a Mostly Positive score on Steam.
With the football season coming to an end, we’re also seeing more picks for EA Sports FC 26. Fingers crossed.
Elsewhere, there are picks for Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, Nine Sols, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Rematch and Hades.
Other games mentioned in the predictions thread include Exoprimal, Street Fighter 6, Hi-Fi Rush, Slay the Princess, System Shock and Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered.
Tomb Raider certainly makes sense given that its predecessor is available as part of the current PS Plus line-up.
Speaking of which, subscribers have until next week to nab Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream.
