Whitstable is filled with quaint shops, and has a quiet coastline and huge range of things to do for visitors. The town has an old-fashioned feel and it stands out as one of Kent’s gems.
Whether it’s warm and sunny or cloudy and grey, Whitstable retains its charm. Visitors can find a range of places for drinking, eating, sunbathing and enjoying the town. One must-visit spot while you’re in the area is Whitstable beach which is around five minutes away no matter where you are in the town.

For people travelling from London, you can reach the town in around an hour, making it a popular day-trip or weekend away destination.
According to Visit Canterbury, Whitstable and its suburb Tankerton boast more than 400 independent businesses, from vintage shops and galleries to cafés, bakers, hardware stores, and family-run restaurants.
If you’re looking for a pretty coastal spot to visit as the weather gets warmer, Whitstable simply must be considered.
