Amy Madigan is bringing her timeless style to the 2026 Golden Globes.
The Weapons star, 75, had a matchy-matchy moment on the red carpet with her husband, actor Ed Harris. However, she paired her suit with Nicole Rose Jewelry earrings. Their daughter Lily Dolores wore a blue dress.
Madigan is nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. It’s the veteran veteran actress’ first Golden Globe nomination in 36 years, and her first time at the ceremony in 20 years.
For tonight’s event, makeup artist Nick Barose created icon-coded glam for the star, who wore a Thom Browne tuxedo with a similar vibe to the suit she wore to the Golden Globes 30 years ago.
“I always do my homework especially when working with a veteran like Amy who’s I’ve been a fan of for decades,” Barose tells PEOPLE.
“I loved how Amy looked in menswear inspired suits, it follows the traditions of other Hollywood greats from Katharine Hepburn, Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich who rocked menswear while looking so bad ass. But for someone like Amy, who has so many cool red carpet looks from the 80s and 90s, I like to draw inspirations from her [own] past iconic looks.”

Given the similarities of her current outfit to her previous one from 1996, Barose felt that night’s makeup was the perfect jumping off point for today.
“Amy’s look from 30 years ago is so timeless. And so many young starlets today dress and wear their makeup like that [today], so it’s easy to reinterpret it. But the one thing I skip is the matte texture on the skin and lips which is hard to pull off in 2026. [Instead], we opted for extra glow on the skin and with slight sheen on lips.”
For her skin, the pro says longevity is key. “I have to ensure there is that extra hydration and glow” from the afternoon well into the evening.
Because makeup sometimes be drying, Barose added an extra skincare step using G.M. COLLIN Biocellurose Facial Mask and G.M. COLLIN Instant Radiance Eye Patches. “This helps ensure deep hydration that’s not going to turn the makeup later on,” Barose explains.

Next, he “slathered on” G.M. COLLIN Diamond Serum, G.M. COLLIN Diamond Day Cream and G.M. COLLIN Diamond Eye Contour “to prep skin for makeup.”
“This helps mimic that fresh inner glow that will look good in photo ops and in real life,” the pro says. As for her makeup, he shares, “the key is to add a pop of colour on lips and cheeks.”
Barose, who has been creating makeup looks for Madigan for the last few months, cherishes their time together. “She is very low key and cool, so it’s always easy and fun with her,” he says, adding, “and, she makes the most delicious foamy coffee before the glam session and I love her for it.”
Madigan tells PEOPLE that she is looking forward to working with Barose again.
“I get a little overwhelmed sometimes doing makeup,” she shares, adding, “He has made it so easy — he is such an artist.”

The actress continues, “He really really makes me look good and, being an older woman, he knows how to work with that. He is a new person in my life and he is going to stay in my life.”
As for her post-show plans? Madigan notes that Warner Bros. Pictures, whose New Line Cinema division made Weapons, is “having a soiree” after the ceremony, so with her daughter and husband, accompanying her to the show, “we’ll go to that [after] and see what happens!”

Madigan previously told PEOPLE she and Harris were tickled over her nomination.
“We’ve both been doing it a really long time, so we’re just both having a good giggle about it. We’re both enjoying it,” she shared.

Madigan has received four nominations throughout her acting career. Her first nomination for New Star Of The Year – Actress for Love Child, came in 1983. Seven years later, she was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for Twice in a Lifetime.
The last time Madigan was a nominee at the Golden Globes — in January 1990 — she won for her portrayal of lawyer Sarah Weddington in the TV movie Roe Vs. Wade, about the fight for reproductive rights.
She also attended in 1996, 1999, 2003 and 2006 to support Harris, who was nominated each of those years.
