The Baltimore Ravens have had a rollercoaster ride to begin the 2026 NFL offseason.
After pulling off a blockbuster trade to acquire superstar pass rusher Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for two first-round picks, the Ravens made the decision to back out of the deal. They quickly pivoted to signing former Cincinnati Bengals star pass rusher Trey Hendrickson.
Outside of those two situations, Baltimore has also signed safety Jaylinn Hawkins, re-signed quarterback Tyler Huntley, signed offensive lineman John Simpson, signed cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, and have also made a couple other moves.
With that being said, there is a good chance the Ravens aren’t done. They could still use help at the wide receiver position specifically.
DeAndre Hopkins is a free agent and there hasn’t been much talk about him returning to Baltimore. An intriguing option has been suggested that would see the Ravens make an aggressive move to invest into star quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Ravens Linked to Potential $13.8 Million Wide Receiver Move
CBS Sports analyst Jordan Dajani has taken a look at the best landing spots for the top remaining free agents on the market. When it came to former New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, Baltimore was named that team.
After helping the Patriots make a run to the Super Bowl last year, Diggs could make a lot of sense for the Ravens.
“Diggs is a four-time Pro Bowl pass catcher, and led the NFL in both receptions and receiving yards in 2020. The ring-chasing Ravens make sense for Diggs,” Dajani wrote.
“He was born in Gaithersburg, and went to high school at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Olney before starring at the University of Maryland. It would be fitting if he helped Baltimore’s NFL team get to the Super Bowl.”
Diggs replacing Hopkins would be an upgrade for Baltimore. He played the role of the No. 1 weapon in New England last season and thrived playing alongside of Drake Maye.
What Would Stefon Diggs Bring to the Baltimore Offense?
Throughout the course of the 2025 NFL season with the Patriots, Diggs played in all 17 games. He caught 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns.
While those numbers aren’t superstar style production, they were solid. If he could bring that kind of impact to the Ravens’ offense, they would be in much better shape.
Spotrac has taken a look at the potential market value for Diggs this offseason. They have projected him to be worth around $13.8 million per season and have suggested a possible contract of two years and $27.6 million.
Diggs may not end up being a target for Baltimore. The team could look in a different direction at the wide receiver position.
That being said, he’s one of the best players remaining on the market and could be exactly what the doctor ordered for Jackson and the Ravens’ passing attack.
