Fox Sports broadcaster and former New England Patriots QB Tom Brady
The New England patriots are preparing to play in their first Super Bowl since Tom Brady left the franchise, yet Brady is dominating the headlines leading into the game.
Brady played most of his future Hall of Fame career in New England, winning six Super Bowls, 219 games, and 17 division titles along the way.
He departed after the 2019 season amid rumors he had a falling out with then-head coach Bill Belichick, and he won a Super Bowl in his three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
But Brady recently set off a firestorm with comments he made about not rooting for the Patriots in Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
“I don’t have a dog in the fight in this one. May the best team win,” Brady stated during a recent episode of the “Let’s Go!” podcast on Sirius XM.
Patriots Fans Rip Brady Over Social Media Activity

Not only did Brady slight his former team, he also threw some more subtle shade at them by unfollowing them on Instagram on Friday.
Though Brady was following the Patriots again by 9 p.m. ET on Friday night, him unfollowing the team earlier in the day sparked some pretty heated reactions from fans on social media.
“Yeah, Robert Kraft definitely needs to take down that statue,” one fan wrote.
“Damn Tom been acting like a hoe lately !!!! Oh well [expletive] em. Go Pats!!!” another added.
“He’s coming off as a jealous [expletive],” a third fan replied.
“Still following the Bucs but not the patriots is nasty nasty work,” one user commented.
“Kind of done with him, if we’re being honest. Thanks for the years of service and Super Bowls, but I only still appreciate you as long as you appreciate us. Think I’m good, at this point!” remarked another user.
“Honestly, Tom, [expletive] off,” scoffed one fan.
“Incredible how Tom Brady turned into a little [expletive] since retirement…” another fan posted.
“This is so insane and actually so weird. He said he was a patriot for life. He has a statue outside the stadium. He won 6 rings here. If he goes into the hall of fame as a buck I’ll disown him forever,” another user wrote.
Brady’s Ex Teammates Upset With Him Too
Brady tried to smooth things over, posting an Instagram story on Friday night of a photo of himself with Patriots owner Robert Kraft with the caption that read: “You know I got your back RKK 👊. Get that 7th ring so we can match 💍💍💍💍💍💍💍.”
But the damage may already be done.
A few of his former teammates have already called him out in the media for his callous comments.
“That’s bull crap, Tom,” former Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork said during an interview with WEEI. “… At the end of the day, if you’re a Patriot for life, you know what it is. Don’t give me that political bull crap. That just what it is. If you don’t think we’re gonna win, just pick Seattle then. Don’t straddle the fence.”
“Tom Brady I am highly I mean highly disappointed in you not rooting for your ex teammate, Mike Vrabel who is about to do something special,” former Pats cornerback Asante Samuel tweeted. “I’m going to fye your [expletive] up one of these mornings. Tag Brady let him know I’m on his [expletive].”
